Gratitude Monday: Independance

It’s the 4th of July, Independence Day, so it’s natural to include our that on my Gratitude List.

A few years ago, I began a new tradition.  I watch

You can find the whole documentary on  With all the rancor and vitriol of an presidential election year, it’s good to remember how great my country is.

Here are a few more things on my list, in no particular order.

Fireworks with family, surrounded by friendly strangers and noisy kids.

Telephone calls that last so long I must excuse myself to go to the bathroom.

Pulled pork on pretzel buns.

Authors who agree to visit my Book Club.  Thank you Clayton Smith.  I know we’ll have so much fun.

Authors who have lunch with me.  Erane Elizabeth Scully and Ronne Hartfield, I do love you.

Authors who allow me to interview them.  Yes, later this week, I will introduce you to another author.  Yay!

A wish granted: A day when I have no demands, just do what I want.  Today.

What’s on your gratitude list this week?  You always remind me of more reasons to say thank you.
