Pause, Breathe, and Take Stock 2017-17

Mother’Day is just around the corner, but for me it’s in the rear view mirror.  wrestler #1, CeCe’s hubby, and their kids came over, and along with Loved-One prepared and wonderful brunch for the mother’s in the group.  Loved-One set the good China out for the three mothers, and everyone else ate on paper plates.  Omelets, sausage, waffles with Nutella and blueberries, mimosa, coffee, and key lime pie.  Queen for a Day, that’s how I felt. Major Fun at the Minor League Game

Going to a ball game can be fun for the whole family.  I love major league ball, but add up even the fair upper deck seats are $30 each.  That’s without beer or hotdogs, or even peanuts and cracker jacks or parking ($30).  Estimated cost for a family of four to attend a Cubs game is somewhere around $305; my family is way bigger than four. This year I got a chance to visit the Kane County Cougars.  Go Cougars!  The A-Team affiliate of the Cubs.  Soooo much fun.  $10 a ticket  ($5 for seniors) and $1.00 for hotdogs, beer…

Today’s prompt: “write a poem that begins and ends with the same word.” Rainy Day Ball Game Today Morning’s dismal night-light, invites me: burrow deep. Stay in bed.  There’s time to rise.  Sleep. Rain points accusing transparent finger. Things to do open my head, and halt my linger. People. Chores.  Novel.  Work.  Play. Tug of War pulls heart and soul Today.
