You Light Up My Life

After “Listen to Your Mother” in St. Joseph’s, I traveled north to spend the night at my sister, Bonita’s.  It was late, but we talked until it was later.

Bonita handed me an empty wine bottle with a LED lighted cork in it.  What a great idea for a portable nightlight!

In the morning, Bonita gave me a BottleLight of my own.  My goodness, a gift for the visitor.  And I came empty handed.

Just a twist of the cork, and, voila, a light in a bottle.

Bonita tells me sometimes she just carries the little light around like a flashlight, instead of turning the light switch on.  That way, your eyes don’t have that adjustment time.

It’s rechargeable.

Just plug it into the back of your computer or into your cell phone charger.

Bonita got mine in a local gift shop. Amazon sells the Bottlelight in packs of 3.

I didn’t have any empty wine bottles around, so I put the Bottlelight in a bud vase that Miss S made me for Mothers Day.

Gorgeous, Miss S, just gorgeous.

I think it’s wonderful how a innovation launches these simple LED lights into new uses.

What ways do you use LEDs? Do you have some innovations you think I should know about?

  1. What a clever idea! I just ordered some….thanks to you and Bonita for sharing this!
That’s two for Bonita…counting cranberry juice! We need her in our circle of creative, talented and on-top-of important things women! Love your title too, Adela!

Bonita is on top of things, Joan. She inspired all like three of my posts this week. And that’s just in less than 24 hours with her.

I can’t wait to show Miss S what a lovely night light her vase makes.

  2. I love it! I am a fan of the tiny lil lights and love using them when I entertain.
They are great for the grandkids rooms too.
I am terrified of the dark so night lights are a nessessity.

I’m not afraid of the dark, but like to know where I’m going. I like idea of turning a little cork to light my way without that awful blinding white when the light switch goes on. Fits easily in a purse or suitcase when traveling, too.
